On 16 July, the European Commission presented its proposal for the next Research and Innovation Framework Programme HORZION EUROPE 2028-2034 as part of the next Multiannual Financial Framework.
Horizon Europe (2028-2034) will build on the achievements of its predecessors, scaling what works, simplifying what is possible, and focusing investment where Europe needs it most. It will be tightly connected to the European Competitiveness Fund.
The Commission is proposing to double the budget of the Framework Programme to €175 billion.
