The BMBWF (Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research), as the ministry responsible for the ERA, has developed a national ERA Action Plan (ERA-NAP 2022-2025) in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) and other federal ministries as well as national stakeholders. In terms of timing, the ERA-NAP 2022-2025 follows the restructuring of the ERA at European level, which was formally concluded with the adoption of the ERA Policy Agenda 2022-2024 by the Council of the EU in November 2021. The Austrian ERA-NAP 2022-2025 builds on the ERA Policy Agenda 2022-2024 and serves to implement it at national level.
The document introduces all 12 national ERA initiatives, incl. key actions, goals and stakeholders. It was published in December 2022.
