Belgium Federal Plan for Gender Mainstreaming

The federal plan for gender mainstreaming (2020-2024) makes explicit mention of the commitments of State Secretary Thomas Dermine on gender mainstreaming in the Belgian Federal Science Policy Office (Belspo) and its FSIs. This consists of four aspects of the reform of Belspo regarding gender mainstreaming including 1) management of Belspo and the Federal Scientific Institutes; 2) the promotion of STEM-sectors and disciplines; 3) the integration of gendermainstreaming in science (both at the level of project management, as well as at the level of research subjects); and 4) increased attention for gender aspects in scientific programmes.
