The purpose of this report by the Swedish Vetenskapsrådet is to create a systematic overview of the literature and research produced within the field of gender bias in research assessment, grant applications and awards. It poses the question of how the existing literature on the subject can be characterised, what main aspects past research have considered, as well as what has been marginalised in these studies. A total of 198 publications, published between 2000–2022 were selected, reviewed and thematically divided into groups. 89 of these were published between 2010– 2022 and constitute the primary subject of overview and analysis. This overview touches upon geographical and scientific contexts, as well as the identified main themes in the research gathered. Report is in Swedish, but an English summary is available.
