The Program RESTART (started in February 2023), is a new funding instrument promoting gender equality opportunities though competitive funding of individual R&D project in all scientific domains, when conducted by women and men researchers that benefitted recently from a parental leave, including adoption – creating better working conditions and fostering equality in the provision of care. The first national call adopted the submission of a narrative CV system for a comprehensive and effective evaluation of the careers of researchers working in PT, promoting more qualitative, robust and integrated evaluation methodologies in accordance with the principles of CoARA (Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment).
Maternity/paternity leaves are contemplated in CV synopsis for interruption of scientific activities.
