Today, at the meeting of the Competitiveness Council Ministers adopted several initiatives, amongst which some are directly relevant for the further enhancement of the European Research Area (ERA):
- Ministers adopted a Council recommendation on the reinforcement of security in research.
- Ministers adopted Council conclusions knowledge valorisation.
Moreover,
- Ministers adopted Council conclusions on the ex-post assessment that the Commission has done on the Horizon 2020 framework programme.
In addition, following the Commission Communication of February 2024, Ministers held a policy debate on research and innovation on advanced materials.
