Improving access to and reuse of R and I results, publications and data for scientific purposes

- Options for making the EU copyright and data legislative and regulatory framework better fit for research

On 26 February 2024, the European Commission is hosting an online information event to present and discuss the findings of a study launched in the context of Action 2 of the European Research Area (ERA) Policy Agenda.

The study has evaluated the effects of the EU copyright framework on research as well as the effects of potential interventions. It has also identified and presented relevant provisions for research in EU data and digital legislation with a focus on rights and obligations.

The study team will present the findings of the study, including potential interventions in EU copyright law, and the impact of EU data and digital legislation on research. 

Stakeholder groups will provide their views on the subject, and there will be opportunities for the audience to ask questions to the study team, take part in breakout discussion groups and provide further feedback and views.
