Nordic seminar on ERA and Research Management

The Nordic ARMA Seminar will bring together representatives from research management and administration associations across the Nordic countries to explore opportunities for collaboration in support of “A New ERA in Research Management” and the ongoing work on research management professionalisation. The seminar will provide a platform for sharing national approaches, exchanging experiences, and identifying future opportunities for Nordic cooperation related to ERA priorities and the development of research management competencies.

This online event examines how research can be translated into real-world impact, drawing on concrete examples and success stories from across Europe. It presents different pathways to knowledge valorisation and highlights European-level tools and support structures to help researchers and institutions put valorisation into practice.

Equality Monitoring Frameworks at National and EU Levels: Sharing Insights and Experience

The ERA Policy Agenda 2025–2027 emphasises the importance of establishing monitoring and evaluation frameworks as a cornerstone for advancing gender equality and inclusiveness in research and innovation (R&I), including monitoring of Gender Equality Plans (GEPs), the integration of the gender dimension in R&I content, the development of intersectionality indicators, and gender equality expenditure tracking. Such frameworks will enable the identification of areas for improvement, the monitoring of progress, and inform evidence-based policymaking.

Conference: RTI Summit 2025 - A Research and Technology Infrastructures Ecosystem for Breakthrough Science and Innovation

The conference brings together industry leaders, policy makers and stakeholders from the innovation ecosystem from across Europe to shape the future of Research and Technology Infrastructures and launch the new European strategy in this field. The summit will provide key input for the implementation of the strategy and demonstrate how the infrastructures impact society and drive innovation, science and industry forward.

The integration of the gender dimension is increasingly required in research funding and evaluation – yet implementation varies widely. Many researchers and research professionals across Europe face challenges in understanding what it means in practice and how to apply it effectively, particularly from an intersectional perspective.
