Following the adoption in December 2023 of the Council Recommendation on a European framework for research careers, the Commission has launched a Mutual Learning Exercise (MLE) supported by the Horizon Europe Policy Support Facility and aiming at fostering the exchange of good practices in relation to the implementation of the Recommendation’s provisions. The overall objective is to showcase examples that can support the strengthening of research careers in Europe.
14 Member States have so far expressed interest in the MLE. They will participate on 31 January to a scoping workshop which will help defining topics to be addressed by the MLE. The MLE is expected to kick-off in Q2 2024, and to last until Q2 2025.
